I am a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University. I studied soil science and land resource management. I graduated in 2019, i finished my service in july 2020. My major goal is to own a very big farm with different active department. But i have to get my capital which leads to my job hunting

My name is Adewumi and i am a very optimistic person. I do not like settling for the less. In your mind, you would be like who like settling for the less too. You can say it again because i feel mine is exceptional.

Back to my gist, i started applying for different jobs online and offline. But i realized that the jobs they majorly post online have people closer to them that will take the job, you can prove me wrong.

Fast forward to the first job i was referred to. It was a marketing job at a Spectranet company. As a smart graduate of OAU, I busted their brain at the interview. When we got to the payment part, i was asked of the least payment i could collect per month. I replied 80,000. The HR gave me a special kind of laughter.

That was when they told me that they would pay 15,000 as the basic salary. If i meet up with 85% of the budget for the month, they would add 30,000 to it. To make the salary 45,000. The budget for the month was an outrageous one.

As a smart babe that i am. I told them that if they will not pay more than that, i will not be able to resume.

Lets forward it to my second interview in Lagos. This company is a big one in Ogudu GRA. I love the environment. No stress, no noise, you only face your business. I was glad when i got there. I was looking forward to working with them already. The interview started and i had a good time with the HR and the Manager. I was the only one interviewed because it was a referred job

We moved to the payment part again. This is where the work always lies. I realized that transport would be taking 75% of the salary. I felt really bad. I wish i had someone around that i could stay with to reduce the cost of transportation. But i have none. It took me time to decide if i wanted to take the job or not.

It was really painful that i had to tell them that i would not be able to take the job because, the remaining change will not be enough for any bill payment.

I am looking forward to a better and great job. Thank you for reading. I hope it worth your time
