How my exam got revoked due to light and network

Everyone has lineup goals for the year. One of my goals for the first quarter of the year was to be Amazon web service cloud practitioner certified. But I knew I needed money to pay in other to write the exam, so my mind was prepared for it.

As God would have it for me easily. I came across shebuildsup. These people gave us the link to the training and also gave us a voucher for the AWS cloud practitioner exam. I was so glad when I saw the offer because I believed God was definitely in what I wanted to do.

I started my training in February because I joined shebuildsup for the February edition which was going to run for 2 months. I finished my training the first week in March. I requested my voucher after going through past questions from some websites.

I got my voucher some days later but I couldn’t take the exam immediately. You would be wondering why right? Okay, let me explain to you.

I needed light for the exam to ensure my video was on and clear, I needed a silent environment free from distraction. Lastly, I needed strong internet connection. I felt I only time this would be possible was to do the exam in the midnight when internet connection would be strong, I would have the whole room to myself and free from noise, and of course light.

I finally decided to do it in April on good Friday considering that we would have light. Lo and behold, we were given light few minutes into the exam. My video was clear and my internet connection was working perfectly.

30 minutes into the exam, the light was taken away. So I needed a source of light for my proctor to see me clearly through my video and to be aware that I was on and I wasn’t cheating. My phone flashlight was my only source of light. At the point of moving the phone from where it was. My internet connection became weak. You understand the part where you have to stay at a point to ensure a good internet connection.

Due to weak internet connection and reduction in video quality cos of a low source of light. The flashlight was shadowing the other side of my face. My proctor could not get along with it so she had to revoke the exam in the middle of it. I was 65% done.

I was pained. You know the feeling of being excited by ticking off one of your goal lists. But I couldn’t do it due to light and bad internet connection.

The results came out and of course, I failed it. You weren’t expecting a miracle now.

Guess who is not going to give up but will take the exam again at any cost. Well, I am! We don’t give up here. We stand up again when we get knocked down. Cos we know we have great things coming our way.
